I know, I know, it’s not even remotely bike related but I just wanted to document the nice photos I took today up at the Aiguille du midi.
Up at 3842m altitude the air was thin and cold, I was mildly terrified in the cable-cars and the views were bloody lovely!

There are a load of black birds (seem bigger than blackbirds, more like crows, but with a yellow beak???) and I spent a lot of time trying to capture a decent shot of them in flight with the Alps as a backdrop but I mostly failed other than the shot above and this one (below) which I quite like:
I’m really lookig forward to summer so that I can hike up and explore the glaciers properly and so you can look forward to seeing many more icy photos but for now you’ll have to make do with the one below:
Finally, I was looking at the route the skiers take to begin the Valleé Blanche descent and it’s daunting!

I can’t wait until all the silly snow has buggered off so that I can get into these here mountains properly and do me some exploring!
