We’re currently enjoying loads of snow here in Chamonix but I’m a little worried.
I went out Snowboarding yesterday for the first time this winter and I hated it! Waiting for ages for the lifts, crowded slopes and far too little skill meant that I only stayed out for a little while before returning home annoyed.
Ordinarily I’d have stayed out longer and pushed through the initial fatigue and rustiness but all I could think about was that I’d rather be riding my fatbike!
The worry is that fatbiking may have ruined all other winter sports (which I’ve loved for years as there were no biking possibilities when there was lots of snow around).
Here, so that you can understand where I’m coming from, are some shots from some of the great rides I’ve been on recently:
Weirdly enough earlier this week there was so little snow that I took the road bike out and did a nice climb up above 1400m with clear roads and now there bloody snow everywhere.
Think I’ll be getting my money’s worth from the fatbike this winter!!!
